The adjacent national parks are typically visited at the same time and offer very different experiences. Yellowstone offers the world's largest concentration of thermal features such as geysers and hot pools. Grand Teton features one of the world's most spectacular mountain ranges. Both parks offer outstanding opportunities to view wildlife.

Grand Teton National Park Lodging:
There are eight lodging establishments within the park, ranging from very inexpensive cabins to the finest resort-style accommodations. All offer very beautiful settings as well as convenience. Most offer recreational activities through Licensed Concessionaires. Reservations are always a good idea for staying inside the park.  Flagg Ranch Resort. Located 56 miles north of Jackson, 2.5 miles south of Yellowstone entrance station on US-89. May to October. Offering modern standalone log cabin rooms. Lodge with dining, gifts, and store. Horseback riding, fishing and floating available. Open December to March for winter season. Moderate price, beautiful area. (800) 443-2311

 Colter Bay Village. Located 37 miles north of Jackson, along Jackson Lake on US-89. Open June to early September. Offers vintage log cabins with a variety of floor plans and tent cabins. Laundry, showers, stores, restaurants, and wide variety of services. Very inexpensive. (800) 628-9988

 Jackson Lake Lodge. Located 35 miles north of Jackson, on US-89. Open May to September. Full service resort with mainly cottage rooms and a smaller number of rooms in beautiful lodge. Fine dining and lounge. Wide variety of activities. Moderately expensive. (800) 628-9988

 Signal Mountain Lodge. Located 32 miles north of Jackson, along Jackson Lake on Teton Park Road. Open May to October. Offers lakefront apartments, log cabins, and motel units. Jackson Lake marina adjacent. Activities include float trips, guided lake fishing and canoe and boat rentals. Dining and stores. Moderate to moderately expensive. (307) 543-2831

 Jenny Lake Lodge. Located 20 miles north of Jackson, along Jenny Lake on Teton Park Road. Open May to early October. Finest lodging in the park in perhaps the most beautiful setting. Features very elegant rustic cabins with breakfast and dinner included. Four diamond property. Very expensive. (800) 628-9988

 Dornan's. Located 12 miles north of Jackson, at junction of US-89 and Teton Park Road. Open all year. Small number of log cabins along Snake River with kitchens. Nice motel-style quality. Also, restaurant, store, wine shop (with huge selection), and cookouts. Float trip concession. Rents kayaks, canoes, and mountain bikes. (Only place that rents kayaks and canoes.)  Grand Teton Climbers' Ranch. Located 16 miles north of Jackson, on Teton Park Road. Oriented to climbers but open to anyone. Ranch offers dormitory style accommodations with bunk beds in small log cabins. Cooking shelters and showers available. Visitors must provide all their own gear, including sleeping bags, food, etc. Mostly first-come first served with very limited reservations. Extremely inexpensive. (307) 733-7271

 Triangle X Ranch. Located 25 miles north of Jackson on US-89. May to October. Authentic working dude ranch with a very extensive package of activities. Price includes lodging in cabins, meals, horseback Riding, ranch activities. Based on weekly stays in summer. Open December to March for winter season. Expensive. (307) 733-2183

 Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce. Offers a very extensive listing of accommodations for the area. Includes the national parks, the town of Jackson, Moran and Moran Junction, Wilson, and Teton Village. Listings include hotels, motels, lodges, cabins, bed and breakfasts, guest ranches, resorts, and vacation rentals.
